Putting Families First.

We work with Philly families in times of crisis to prevent eviction, find shelter, and provide access to safe, affordable housing.
Prevention & Diversion Services.

We collaborate with families, landlords, and other agencies to prevent family homelessness before it begins.

Emergency Housing & Relocation.

We partner with caring congregations, landlords, and hotels to provide each family with the privacy and space they need.

Our Services

Each family faces unique challenges. Our services are customized to address their specific needs.

Give directly to families.
From an emergency grocery card to a month's rent, your donations can change lives.
Innovative Housing Solutions

We do what it takes to get families housed. We provide deposit assistance, shallow rent subsidies, and insurance to landlords who rent to families with poor credit who enroll in our tenant training program.

Children & Youth Services

Each family member matters. We provide clothing, diapers, school supplies, art therapy, counseling, and trauma-informed care to help children learn and thrive.

Ongoing Support

Our relationships with families extend for years as their needs evolve. They receive education and career counseling, family therapy, and financial guidance. Some family members then become volunteers and "pay it forward."

We Are Community.

We have proudly served Philadephia families since 1991 with the help of our dedicated & deeply generous staff, interfaith communities, donors, volunteers, local business owners & grantmakers.

What began as a handful of small interfaith communities around the country  has now become an organization comprised of more than 200 Affiliates across 43 states. Today, Family Promise is the nation’s leading non-profit combatting family homelessness.

More About Us

Formerly known as the Philadelphia Interfaith Hospitality Network, we have officially become Family Promise of Philadelphia. Though the name is new, our interfaith community response to family homelessness remains the same.

We Are Proud of Our Accomplishments.

Since Covid began, we’ve delivered $1.35 Million in aid directly to families.

That’s what’s so great about Family Promise – they give families more than shelter. They welcome them in and help them focus on healing and moving forward.
